MEDI-system was established in 2001.  We are a  dynamic, open-minded company, creating standards for the private health care in Poland for already 10 years.  Starting our activities with the Outpatients Clinic we developed 4 specialised units for rehabilitation and long term nursing care. We serve and provide care for over 400 patients on a daily basis.  To be able to be responsible for such a big number of clients we employ over 300 people. Our team comprises doctors of nearly all specialities, physiotherapists, nursing staff, nursing assistance, rehabilitation therapists, psychologists as well as ancillary personnel.  Selection, and the recruiting process with a supported company training programme, ensures that the staff is well qualified to deliver care in their highest standards.
The MEDI-system standards of care are indicated in an Internal Procedure System based on ISO 9001, where clinical, health and safety procedures are outlined. All of these are well documented and monitored to ensure that the expected high standard of care is maintained.

SERVICES PROVIDED
Since it’s founding, MEDI-system’s mission has been focused on specialised care and rehabilitation.  We created rehabilitation programs for patients after severe and disabling injuries, surgeries, spinal injury and diseases, brain injury, stroke or other neurological diseases or disorders.  Over the years, we have become experts in our field, and this takes time. With each patient we gain even greater knowledge about guiding the successful recovery of future patients with similar impairments and diseases. It’s a fact in health care, that greater experience correlates with better outcomes. In the year 2010 we provided general rehabilitation for over 580 patients and neurological rehabilitation for over 400 patients.  Different types of rehabilitation are provided for every patient that stays in one of our Nursing Homes.

While we are very proud of our rehabilitation care programs, we also offer a wide range of long term nursing care. We take professional care of people who don't need to be in a hospital but cannot be cared for at their homes (ZOL – nursing home). These, for example, are patients with cardiac diseases, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, temporarily  after different types of surgeries etc.  We provide highly specialised care for patients in vegetative state including those in comas. As the only private company in Poland of this type, we run a unit for patients who need long-term mechanical ventilation; we serve both children and adults. Overall, in 2010 we provided long term nursing care for over 400 patients with nearly 50 of them needing highly specialised care.

MEDICAL  FACILITIES
MEDI-system runs an Outpatient Clinic and 4 Nursing and Physiotherapy Units:

Przychodnia „Kijowska”  - the outpatient clinic was the first facility launched by MEDI-system.  After 10 years of activity it is now a well recognized clinic, which offers a full range of specialist consultations, intensive rehabilitation programs and comprehensive diagnostic tests including mammography, ultrasound examination and extensive laboratory tests.

MEDI-system „Marianna” – our first Nursing Home, opened in 2002. It is a 70-bed unit, situated south-east of Warsaw, in Majdan, 2o km from the City Center. We provide long term care for patients with wide range of disabilities including post-surgical treatment and dementia, making them  feel at home. Specialised care is provided for patients in vegetative states and comas.

MEDI-system „Konstancja” – opened in 2001,  in Konstancin Jeziorna, health resort 20 minutes drive from Warsaw. Except a long term nursing care like in MEDI-system „Marianna” the unique highly specialised Respiratory Hospital Ward and General Rehabilitation Department are run there.  It is a 130 bed Unit, where 25 beds are provided for the ventilated patients.

MEDI-system „Mazowia” – situated in downtown Warsaw.  Since 2006 it has been providing highly specialised rehabilitation therapy on a hospital basis (65 beds) and a day care centre, as well as an outpatient clinic. Focused on the treatment of specific areas of rehabilitation such as spinal injury, brain injury, after surgery treatment, stroke or other neurological diseases or disorders, Mazowia gained an outstanding reputation in Warsaw. A newly opened commercial wing serves all patients looking for immediate, exquisite services and a high standard of accommodation.    

MEDI-system „Ostrowia” – the newest facility, providing 70 beds. Opened in 2009 south-east of Garwolin already gained its reputation as the best rehabilitation centre in the area. Patients are offered hospital stay, day care rehabilitation programs and ambulatory treatments.

NFZ  (NATIONAL FUND) CONTRACTOR
MEDI-system has always aimed at delivering high quality healthcare expertise and services, which ensures our excellent clinical outcomes, safety of patients and skilled and productive staff. That is why we have always been a contractor of the National Health Fund. This means that for beneficiary of the State Health Insurance System many of our service costs are covered by the state / government.

PRIVATE / COMMERCIAL SERVICES
We have prepared a commercial offer  for all clients who are interested in receiving immediate health care or treatment, and expect higher standards of accompanying services.  The wide range of services is available in each of our 5 units. In the Outpatients Clinic this includes full range of activities, while in 4 Nursing and Physiotherapy Unit, we provide long-term care and special individualised rehabilitation programs.
